Flotsam

The water deposits a lot of wood onto my garden. I've started to burn designs into it and when the floods next come the river will carry the flotsam away.

I suppose its guerilla art in a way. (Keri Smith advocates leaving pieces of ones art in public places for people to find....guerilla art.)
I would want to hold on to those celtic materpieces though. The designs are so intricate and mysterious.

I was thinking about similar lines as robyn up there - Thinking about how lovely one of those pieces would look in our garden...
It's a really lovely idea, Suz, and anyone who finds one of your pieces will be very lucky.

Can you make it float across the sea to me? I'd look after it, promise.

Robyn - I've heard of guerilla gardening but not guerilla art. I'll have to look into it.

Eretria - Would you like one? I can make you one especially. :)

HHnB - I can make you something small that can fly across the globe to you? :)

Avus - You know your history, but we're both already aware of that :). Any more reenactments coming up for you? Anglo-saxon history is a slight pleasure of mine - especially, the art.

Bones - Of course you can. I'll make you something for your wall.

Am going easy on the re-enactments these days - dodgy hip and running around in Roman armour disagree.
I, too, am fascinated by Anglo-Saxon art - particularly their metal work, with the chip carving and enamel inlays (the stuff from the Sutton Hoo ship burial is marvellous)
